we go on publishing the projects presented by course students as final examination

the firs here is a comparison between blogger and wordpress, the most popular blog platforms: Gabriele Mariotti prepared a comparison between Blogger and WordPress with their characteristics, their customization and Web 2.0 features  – find here the Prezi

Marco Silvestroni presented a rather interesting comparison of two innovative services: Wikitudes and Google Goggles, two innovative tools in web searching – here the Prezi

another project presented by Kobra Alibabaei is about the “Semantic Web”, trying to explain the moving from “old” Web to the so-called Web 3.0, analysing the changes in search engines and in many other tools

the second project presented comes from Luca Salvatori and it’s about “Joomla! extensions for Web 2.0 (Social Networks and Forums)”

here you find the Prezi presentation, in which the different possible connections between Joomla and social networks are described, besides Joomla forum functionalities

another project, always about Joomla, comes from Daniele Alimenti and it’s about “Joomla 1.6 Web 2 extensions”, showing  Joomla integration with many tools like wikis, Moodle, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube (here the Prezi link)

the first project posted in the blog has the title “Start an opensorce project using free resources” by Andrea Monacchipresentation available on Prezi

in the presentation many tools used in open source projects (like Forums, Blogs, CMS, wiki, …) are listed, together with their use in important projects like Ubuntu, Android and FreeRTOS

finally a simple website called SiliconLife is presented, aimed to be a meeting point for hardware & software developers in the field of ubiquitous and pervasive computing for smart environments – http://siliconlife.tk/

Starting from March 14th 2011, Monday and Tuesday 17:00 – 19:00  (preliminary, to be agreed)

and, obviously, the course will be held at English

interessante ricerca di Universal McCann sulla diffusione di internet e delle applicazioni 2.0: indagine McCann Wave3 (pdf)
trovate qui anche versione SlideShare

i risultati + interessanti (i dati percentuali riguardano gli utenti “attivi” tra 15 e 64 anni, utenti che usano la rete tutti i giorni):

  • l’Asia guida il mercato dal punto di vista della partecipazione, creando + contenuti delle altre aree
  • la piattaforma che aumenta di +: i videoclip, dal 31% del 2006 all’83% del 2008
  • il 57% aderisce a qualche social network
  • il 73% legge blog; i blog sono diventati + di 180 milioni
  • la Cina ha + blog di USA ed Europa insieme
  • i media “sociali” influenzano le scelte dei consumatori

mi hanno particolarmente colpito i dati sugli utenti “attivi” che hanno un blog in Asia: + del 70% in Cina, Taiwan e Corea … davvero un uso di massa!

per i blog in Italia: 8 milioni di lettori, 5.6 milioni di commentatori e 3.4 milioni di autori
